Areas of Expertise
As your dedicated coach, I use creative arts, EFT, somatic, breath, and energy work to do what is called shadow work. This work complements trauma-informed coaching by integrating the conscious and unconscious to bring balance to our body, mind, and spirit. This does not mean talking about your past as much as it means turning that strength into something positive. As people, especially those struggling with grief and loss, we must begin to take the energy we use to deny or hide the deeper parts of ourselves to make room to grow into someone better. My signature coaching style combines my extensive experience in the creative and healing arts, as well as body and energy work, to facilitate personal growth, self-regulation, and transformation. It takes the Whole Person Coaching to a deeper level. I invite you to try my signature approach, as you may find greater meaning and connection with yourself and others on your path after loss.
Grief & Trauma Coaching
Trauma-informed coaching is a specialized approach that acknowledges the impact of past trauma on individuals and integrates this understanding into the coaching process. It focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for clients to work towards their goals while navigating the effects of trauma. Coaches trained in this approach have a deeper understanding of how trauma can affect a person's thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships.
Whole Person Centered Coaching
Whole Person Coaching is a multi-modality approach that seamlessly integrates diverse coaching tools and techniques to address the various facets of an individual’s experience. Whole Person Coach acknowledges the complexity of individuals, recognizing the interconnected dimensions of the mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of the “Whole Person.”
Narrative Coaching
I want to hear your story. It allows me to understand your experiences and support you in moving forward positively. We will redefine your beliefs and relationships from a strength-based perspective. Come exactly as you are. There is power in your grief. Let me guide you to use it.
EFT & Tapping
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and tapping are used in trauma-informed coaching to help clients regulate emotions, reduce stress responses, and process traumatic memories in a gentler way. A coach guides a client to tap on specific meridian points while they focus on a traumatic memory or emotional distress, which can calm the nervous system and lower the intensity of the feelings associated with the trauma. This approach combines the emotional regulation benefits of tapping with the forward-facing, empowerment-focused nature of coaching, making it a hybrid technique for trauma recovery. EFT tapping is a somatic intervention to reduce psychological distress by self-stimulating acupoints on the face and upper body while focusing on sensations in the body or a distressing thought or feeling (Stapleton, 2020). The stress response is experienced not only as a constellation of emotions and patterns of thinking, but also as physiological symptoms that dysregulate the nervous system. EFT tapping works to regulate our nervous system by stimulating acupoints.EFT tapping is highly versatile as a supplement to existing therapeutic interventions and as an effective self-help technique for immediate relief of distressful symptoms outside the clinical setting.
Art-Based Release
Art-based coaching leverages creative expression as a tool to enhance self-awareness, facilitate emotional processing and release, promote grounding, and unlock insights for personal and professional growth. It moves beyond traditional verbal coaching by utilizing art forms like drawing, painting, collage, and even music to help clients connect with their subconscious, explore complex emotions, and develop new perspectives.
Somatic Approaches
Somatic coaching is a holistic approach to personal and professional development that integrates the body, mind, and spirit. It focuses on accessing the body’s wisdom and intelligence to facilitate growth, transformation, and healing. Some of the grounding, breathwork, and visualization techniques one may be familiar with, but somatic approaches are not limited to only those; sound and movement can be utilized depending on your interests and preferences. Somatic coaching involves working with clients to explore their bodily sensations, movements, and patterns, as well as their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Through somatic exercises, guided inquiry, and mindful awareness, clients learn to listen to their bodies' signals and messages, which can reveal underlying patterns, barriers, and strengths. This approach is successful for those living in fight or flight, freeze or faun mode due to Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Gigi S.
I felt supported and safe. Nina helped me explore and understand my situation more with the right questions that opened up more insights to me. I had all the time and room that I needed within the session to go as deep into the topics as I needed.
Mike K.
I didn't really know what to expect going into my first coaching session, and Nina made it feel easy and natural. I enjoyed the way she guided me to learning more from myself, and in my own words, which I usually get lost in.
Kareem P.
Nina was very intentional about allowing me to be myself during the session and she acknowledged when I came up with solutions on my own without even knowing and highlighted things that she perceived as strengths for me.
